NCS: Freke-Garm prospect dry

Another duster for Aker BP in the North Sea.

The NPD announced today that well 15/6-15 is dry. The well was drilling the Freke-Garm Main prospect with predrill estimation reserves of 16-81 MMboe.

The primary exploration target was to prove hydrocarbons in reservoir rocks from the Hugin and Sleipner Fm (Middle Jurassic). 15/6-15 encountered the Sleipner Fm with a thickness of about 125 m, of which 40 m were reservoir rocks of good to moderate reservoir quality.

The secondary exploration target was to examine reservoir rocks from the Skagerrak Fm (Triassic) which was encountered with a thickness of about 140 m, of which 15 m were reservoir rocks with poor reservoir quality.
