OMV and Aker BP signed last week a Memorandum of Understanding for a digital partnership. Both entities commit to sharing digitalisation competencies and technology so they can advance in their digital journey.
Aker BP will contribute with Eureka – Digital Program and OMV with DigitUp – Global Upstream Digitalisation Program. The agreement brings another player into the game, Cognite with their software solution Cognite Data Fusion. The joint digital collaboration will cover technology projects within the areas of operational efficiency, drilling and subsurface.
OMV has entered a long-term agreement with Cognite. The use of Cognite Data Fusion, data analytics and machine learning, will enable OMV to store all relevant and comprehensive data sets in the cloud, being accessible to all operations. It will become easier for OMV to monitor critical machinery, move from scheduled to predictive maintenance, increase production, and improve its HSSE operations.
