Tore Løseth assumes the position as Executive Vice President of Exploration in Equinor, replacing Tim Dodson.
Equinor’s planned change in management will take place on June 1.
Tore Løseth, new EVP of Exploration in Equinor, has worked in the company since 2001, and most recently as director of the international land-based exploration business.
Previously, Løseth was Director of the Gulf of Mexico exploration business.
Løseth started his career as a geologist at Equinor’s research center. He holds a doctorate in sedimentology from the University of Bergen.
Tim Dodson has been Equinor’s Exploration Director since 2011, and will transition to Director of Strategy Execution in Global Strategy and Business Development (GSB).
– I would like to take this opportunity to thank Tim for his long-standing contribution to the management of the company and as a member of the group management in Equinor. I am pleased that we can still benefit from Tim’s solid experience and broad understanding of Equinor in his new position in the GSB strategy unit, and I wish him the best of luck, says CEO Eldar Sætre.
– At the same time, I would like to welcome Tore to the Group management. He brings strong leadership and international experience into the leadership team, and I look forward to working with Tore in his new position, says Sætre.
