Halfdan CarstensHalfdan is a geologist with working experience from Norway, the US and several other countries worldwide. He worked for Saga Petroleum, Nopec and PGS before launching the magazine GEO in 1998. In 2004, he was the main founder of GEO ExPro and later expronews.com. Among other honours, Halfdan received the AAPG journalism award for “notable journalistic achievements”. He is also the initiator of several G&G-conferences that are still being run on a regular basis.
